Ravani also known as Namoura in the Middle East is a tasty and simple dessert made with a few ingredients.
Ingredients
500 g of olive oil
1 liter of water
1 kg of sugar
500 g fine semolina
500 g coarse semolina
Orange or lemon zest
Directions
Put the oil, water and sugar in a large saucepan
Sieve the semolina so that there are no pieces
As soon as the sugar melts, pour the semolina slowly into the saucepan, stirring constantly until it thickens well
Turn it over in a large pan and spread it out
Cut it into strips and then diagonally (diamonds)
Place a blanched almond on each piece
Bake for 45-55 minutes at 180 degrees
It will turn a golden-brown color
