Vasilopita is a traditional cake that is made for the new year. After it is baked, wrap a coin in aluminum foil and place it in the bottom of the cake, so that no one knows where it is. On new years eve or the following day, cut it into pieces and give it to each family member starting from the oldest to the youngest. Who ever wins they say will be the lucky one of the year!
