Strawberry Jam

Ingredients

1 kilo of strawberries
1 kg of sugar
1/3 glass of water
1 tsp.  Lemon juice

Directions

Wash the strawberries well and chop them into small pieces
put them in the pot
pour the sugar on top
Add the water
Boil until the jam thickens
Pour in the lemon
Remove it from the heat and let it cool well
The next day see if it is still has liquid if it does it needs to boil again for another 10 to 15 minutes until it sets well

**if it is runny it will thicken quickly

**if you don’t want pieces in the strawberry,  you can grate it before putting it in the pot or when it’s boiling,  press it with a potato masher
