{"id":1664,"date":"2024-01-11T08:42:50","date_gmt":"2024-01-11T08:42:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.aroundofsalt.com\/?p=1664"},"modified":"2024-01-11T08:42:50","modified_gmt":"2024-01-11T08:42:50","slug":"bakalava","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.aroundofsalt.com\/?p=1664&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"BAKALAVA"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>One of the most tradional and loved syrupy desserts with walnuts!<\/h4>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h4>Ingredients<\/h4>\n<p>1 package of phyllo dough sheets 500g<\/p>\n<p>400 g of walnuts<\/p>\n<p>3 tbsp sugar<\/p>\n<p>3 tbsp breadcrumbs<\/p>\n<p>\u00bd tsp cinnamon<\/p>\n<p>\u00bd cup olive oil<\/p>\n<p>cloves<\/p>\n<h6>Syrup<\/h6>\n<p>3 cups of sugar<\/p>\n<p>2 cups of water<\/p>\n<p>1 lemon wedge or \u00bd tsp lemon juice<\/p>\n<p>Cinnamon stick<\/p>\n<h4>Directions<\/h4>\n<p>Boil the syrup for 2-3 minutes and leave it aside to cool<\/p>\n<p>Grind the walnuts in the blender but do not turn them into a powder<\/p>\n<p>Put the walnuts, sugar, breadcrumbs and cinnamon in a bowl and mix<\/p>\n<p>Take a rectangular pan and grease it<\/p>\n<p>Place one phyllo sheet in the pan so that it protrudes a little from the sides and make sure that it rests on the bottom and edges of the pan walls well<\/p>\n<p>Cut the remaining\u00a0 phyllo\u00a0 sheets to the size of the bottom of the pan<\/p>\n<p>Keep <i>three <\/i><i>phyllos<\/i> aside for the end<\/p>\n<p>Place two more phyllo in the pan to cover the entire bottom of the pan<\/p>\n<p>Sprinkle the\u00a0 phyllo\u00a0 with 1 tbsp of olive oil<\/p>\n<p>Add some walnut mixture<\/p>\n<p>Put two more\u00a0 phyllo\u00a0 , drizzle with 1 tbsp of olive oil and add mixture<\/p>\n<p>Repeat this until the phyllo and walnut mixture are used up<\/p>\n<p>Also use the cut pieces of\u00a0 phyllo as layers<\/p>\n<p>At the end put the <i>three\u00a0 <\/i><i>phyllo<\/i><i>\u00a0 <\/i>we had kept at the beginning<\/p>\n<p>Cut the baklava diagonally and again on the other side so that they become diamonds but make sure that the knife does not touch the bottom<\/p>\n<p>Place a clove in each piece<\/p>\n<p>Spoon the rest of the oil between the slits and on top of the phyllo<\/p>\n<p>Bake at 180 degrees for 45 minutes<\/p>\n<p>As soon as it is ready, add the syrup with a ladle so that it gradually goes everywhere<\/p>\n<p>Let the dessert absorb all the syrup before cutting it<\/p>\n<p>About 2 hours<\/p>\n<p><b>**<\/b> one of the two must be cold and the other hot<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>One of the most tradional and loved syrupy desserts with walnuts!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":1672,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[200,196],"tags":[927,931,601,923,690,929,540,921,235,449,925,512,368],"class_list":["post-1664","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-desserts_en","category-vegan_en","tag-baklawa","tag-coffee","tag-dessert","tag-dinner","tag-get-together","tag-greece","tag-party","tag-phyllo-dough-sheets","tag-sugar","tag-sweets","tag-syrupy","tag-vegan","tag-walnuts"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.5 -
