1 cup of lentils<\/p>\r\n
\u00a01 onion<\/p>\r\n
\u00a02 cloves garlic<\/p>\r\n
\u00a01 bay leaf<\/p>\r\n
\u00a01 teaspoon oregano<\/p>\r\n
\u00a01 teaspoon tomato paste<\/p>\r\n
\u00a03-4 tablespoons olive oil<\/p>\r\n
\u00a01 tsp salt<\/p>\r\n
\u00bc tsp pepper<\/p>\r\n
<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Put the lentils in a medium saucepan.<\/p>\r\n
\u00a0Cover them with water . \u0391s soon as they come to a boil.<\/p>\r\n
\u00a0drain and rinse<\/p>\r\n
Put the lentils back in the pot (cover with water halfway through the pot)<\/p>\r\n
\u00a0Clean the onion and finely chop it, put in pot.<\/p>\r\n
Clean the garlic and add it to the pot as they are whole<\/p>\r\n
\u00a0Add all other ingredients.<\/p>\r\n
Cook on medium heat for about 30-45 minutes or until the lentils are soft (depending on the lentils)<\/p>\r\n
\u00a0If the lentils are still not soft add one cup of water and let boil for another 15 minutes<\/p>\r\n
The lentils are ready when they are soft and not with a lot of water<\/p>\r\n
Like a thick soup<\/p>\r\n\r\n
