Strawberry season is finally here! A fruit that becomes a perfect spoon dessert! Very tasty and with a rich aroma! With only a few ingredients!
Ingredients
1 kg of strawberries
1 kg of sugar
½ cup water
1 vanilla extract
1-2 tsp lemon juice
Directions
Cut the stem and wash the strawberries
Put the strawberries in the pot
Add the sugar and water
Put them in the fridge for 2 hours
Add the vanilla
Let them boil for 3-4 minutes
Remove the froth(skimming) that is on top
Leave the dessert aside to cool well
Once cool, carefully remove the strawberries on a plate without syrup
Boil the syrup on its own until it thickens
When it is ready, slowly put the strawberries back into the syrup
Add the lemon juice
Shake the pot
Boil to bind again About 4-5 minutes
Don’t want it to boil too much so the strawberries don’t melt completely
Let it cool well
Place in glass jars with syrup covering the strawberries, and refrigerate
** checking to see if the dessert has set, put a drop of syrup on a plate and it should stabilize lightly, don’t want it to run down the plate like water
** you can put the remaining syrup in a glass jar, it is nice on ice cream
