BAKED PENNE WITH CHEESES

A quick and easy dish made with a combination of melting cheeses! A perfect dinner that can be prepared in advance for busy weekdays!

Ingredients

500 g penne

250 g gouda cheese

250 g of edam cheese

100g of hard cheese gruyere (kefaloturi)

4 slices of ham, bacon or turkey

1 heavy cream (330grs)

Directions

Boil the penne in salted water as it says on the package

Grate the cheeses in separate bowls

Cut the cold cuts into small squares

In a glass baking dish or pan

Put half the penne to cover the bottom of the pan

Place half of the gouda cheese, half of the edam cheese and half of gruyere cheese (kefalotiri) on the penne

Add half of the cold cuts

Cover with the rest of the penne, cheeses and cold cuts on top

Pour the heavy cream on top so that it goes everywhere

Bake in the oven at 180 degrees for about 20 minutes to get a nice golden color

** to be able to cut nicely into pieces let it cool for 10 minutes before cutting

** you may prepare the dish the night before (covered in the refrigerator) and just add the heavy cream when its time to bake
