Dakos is an authentic Cretan recipe with barley rusks! Easy to make and very healthy! It can be eaten for lunch or even a light dinner!
Ingredients
1 round barley rusk (dakos)
1 tomato
60-70 g of feta cheese
3 tbsp olive oil
¼ tsp salt
¼ tsp oregano
Directions
Wash and cut the tomato in half
Take half of the tomato and remove the skin
Grate in in a bowl
Take the other half of the tomato and cut it into small cubes
Place the dakos on a plate the outer side facing down
Add 1 tbsp of olive oil on top of the dakos
With a spoon add the grated tomato on top and let the juice that the tomato released go everywhere over the rusk
Add the chopped tomato
Sprinkle the salt
Break the feta into small pieces on top
Add 1-2 tbsp of olive oil to go everywhere
Sprinkle oregano on top
