ORZO RIZOTTO WITH SHRIMP

A quick and delicious recipe! Made in less than half an hour!

Ingredients

½ package frozen shrimp (250gr)

2 tbsp olive oil

1 onion

2 cloves garlic

2 tbsp olive oil

1 cup tomato sauce

1 tsp salt

¼ tsp pepper

½ tsp sugar

A little hot pepper (optional)

2 cups medium orzo

About 6 cups hot water

Directions

Wash and remove the intestines from the shrimp

Grate the onion and garlic

In a large frying pan or saucepan, add two tablespoons of olive oil

Add the shrimp and sauté for 1-2 minutes on each side

Remove them from the frying pan onto a plate

In the same frying pan, add two tablespoons of olive oil

Add the onion and garlic and sauté well

Add the tomato sauce

Add the orzo

Stir

Pour 6 cups of hot water

Add salt, pepper, sugar and hot pepper (optional)

Cook over medium to high heat

Add a little more water if needed

Just before it’s done, add the shrimp and stir

** shrimp don’t need much cooking because they get tough and chewy
