Very soft and tasty meatballs made in the frying pan or in the oven
Ingredients
500-600 grs (1lb) ground beef
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1 egg
2 cloves garlic grated
1 onion grated
¼ cup milk (optional)
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon of pepper
½ teaspoon oregano
4-5 parsley sprigs finely chopped(leaves)
½ tsp basil(optional)
½ tsp mint (optional
oil (if frying)
Directions
Put all the ingredients in a bowl, add the bread crumbs last so that it doesn’t stick together.
Knead very well for 4-5 minutes.
If the dough is tough, add ¼ cup water.
Let sit for about one hour (in the fridge covered)
Shape meatballs, lightly flour them and fry them over medium heat to get a light brown color, turning several times.
**If you want in them baked in the oven
Put a baking sheet in a pan and shape dough into small meatballs like a walnut.
Place in the pan and bake for 20 minutes and turn for another 20 minutes. at 180 degrees (350*f)
**If you do not put milk, add water in the same proportions.
**after making the meatballs at that point you may freeze for future use
