Looking for something for fasting or lent and dont know what to cook! Meatballs made from soya mince! It’s an easy and delicious solution. You won’t know they don’t contain meat!
Ingredients
2 cups Soy
1 large grated onion
2 cloves garlic grated
¼ of a bunch of parsley
6-7 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Cumin
1 tsp. Curry
½ tsp. Pepper
2 tbsp. Olive oil
A little flour for the covering the meatballs
Sunflower oil OR corn oil OR olive oil for frying
Directions
Put the soy in a saucepan and cover with water. Once the water has come to a boil, remove it from the heat and allow it to cool for an hour and double in volume.
Take the onion grate it or bullet it
Wash the parsley and finely chop it.
When the soy is ready, rince , squeeze the excess water
put it in a bowl and add all the ingredients except the flour that is for covering the meatballs before frying
knead all the ingredients well
Make into the size of a walnut and lightly powder with the flour
Fry on medium heat turning often until they get a nice dark colour
** may also be cooked in the oven on baking paper turning once without the excess flour on top
** may also make hamburgers
