An easy and impressive dessert that decorates the Christmas and New Year’s table!
Ingredients
1 box of puff pastry (2 sheets)
¼ cup plain cookies (50g)
1 cup of praline (300 g) or vegan praline
A little oil or butter for spreading
icing sugar (optional)
Directions
Take the puff pastry sheet out of the fridge to come to room temperature
Place one puff pastry on a baking sheet, removing the plastic from it, and open it a little with your hands or with a rolling pin to smooth the surface
Spread the praline all over the sheet
Pour the crushed biscuit over the praline but not too close to the edges
Take the other sheet of puff pastry and open it a little and place it on top of the other
Carefully bring all the edges together
Cut out the shape of the tree
Press a little with our fingers to form the trunk in the middle all the way down
Starting from the bottom, cut from the beginning of the trunk the branches about two fingers each. Repeat until you are close to the triangle (don’t cut the trunk) do the same on both sides
Twist each branch two or three times, all the branches should turn in the same direction
With the pieces that remain, cut the star and various other shapes that you like
Place the star at the top where the triangle is
Place the tree with the baking paper in the pan brushing the pastry with a little oil
Put the other shapes next to or some on the trunk and bake them, also brushing them with a little oil
Bake at 180 degrees for about 20 minutes to get a golden color
Once cool, add some icing sugar (optional)
